Praia da Luz is a resort located about 6km from Lagos. There are buses and coaches taking regular trips from Lagos to this beautiful destination. Car, scooter and motorcycle hire are all also available.

Praia da Luz beach is an intermediate size Blue Flag beach with two distinct zones: the white sand characteristic of Algarve beaches and the 'rock zone'. The water is clean and transparent which make it a picture perfect trip to the beach with the family or just to take in the spectacular views. The town also has a roman archaeological site among many other historical and interesting features.
